"The Boy In The Striped Pajamas"
Over the summer I read The Boy In The Striped Pajamas as one of my choice reading books.
The book takes place during the Holocaust and shows some of the struggles not of a jewish family, but for one with Nazi general as their father. This was generally sad book throughout the entire read and if you are looking for a fun, pleasure read then I don't recommend reading this book.
Bruno, the young boy of the family, was a very curious and imaginative child. He would play all day with his friends in Berlin if he could, but their family was moved away from their home and he had lost his friends. He set out to make new friends and came upon a little boy in striped pajamas. They became friends, but both were later killed in a gas chamber. It was a very interesting, but sad story.
This book is a great eye-opener to a very cruel and unfair world of which they used to live in. This book also relates to some of the segregation and discrimination in the world in which we live in today. The jews were mistreated and even killed because of their beliefs. Although, today it is not to the extent of death, there is still some discrimination that we need to work on as a nation to eliminate.

This book is one of the most interesting books I have read. This summary gives perfect details of how good the book is.
