Peyton- Summer Experience Dylan- Summer Story

Over the summer I did lots of fun and interesting activities, but there is one that stands out the most to me, going to Louisville, Kentucky. My entire baseball team and I traveled to Kentucky for the World Series and had lots of fun. Our team would do many fun activities, such as going to the Louisville Slugger Bat Company and getting a free bat or even going zip lining in a fifty acre cave!! The cave consisted of four zip lines increasing in length as we went along. The cave was a little cold and the chilled wind of the zip line added to the cold temperature. Other than activities outside of the ballpark, playing in the games was also a lot of fun, we won all of our games and went on to win the whole thing!! Our team got shirts, hats, rings and even championship baseballs provided by the tournament. Sadly that was or last time playing together as a team because of some players having to leave for high school. I guess we ended on a good note!

I have been reading True Legend by Mike Lupica over the past few days and shows to be a really great book. Drew Robinson is a young basketball player in high school, and a very good one to add. He is being looked at by various coaches and other colleges. I haven't gotten too far into the book yet for only reading it for about a week, but it is a very great read if you like sports books. Drew goes to his local basketball court very late at night to work on his game, but also to be alone with himself and the sport he loves most. He will run into some problems down the road, but basketball is his go-to. I very much recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good story.

Logan- About Myself Week One Drew- My Summer Time

Over the summer I read The Boy In The Striped Pajamas as one of my choice reading books. The book takes place during the Holocaust and shows some of the struggles not of a jewish family, but for one with Nazi general as their father. This was generally sad book throughout the entire read and if you are looking for a fun, pleasure read then I don't recommend reading this book. Bruno, the young boy of the family, was a very curious and imaginative child. He would play all day with his friends in Berlin if he could, but their family was moved away from their home and he had lost his friends. He set out to make new friends and came upon a little boy in striped pajamas. They became friends, but both were later killed in a gas chamber. It was a very interesting, but sad story. This book is a great eye-opener to a very cruel and unfair world of which they used to live in. This book also relates to some of the segregation and discrimination in the world in which we live in today. The

Hello Everyone, my name is Austin. I am fourteen years old and am a freshman at Episcopal. I am new to Episcopal and I came from the University Laboratory School on LSU's campus. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I then moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2009 and have lived her ever since. I have one older brother that is about to turn sixteen and a dog that is seven. I enjoy playing sports and hanging out with friends. I play baseball and basketball and enjoy both of them very much. I also enjoy vacations, especially to the beach or the mountains. I love snow skiing and generally like the cold. A fun fact about me is I love wake boarding and love the water. Also, I am very excited for the school year ahead.
